  • When does the admission open for the new academic session?

Admission for the new academic session begins in the month of March. Registration forms can be collected from the school office.

  • What is the curriculum that the school follows?

The school follows CBSE curriculum. CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is a board that is universally recognized and accepted by institutions of higher learning throughout the world. The school is in process of getting affiliation from the board.

  • What are the timings of the school?

Summer timings

Kindergarten (Pre-KG, LKG, UKG) – 7:30 am – 11:30 am and

Grade I –VIII -7:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Winter timings

 Kindergarten (Pre-KG, LKG, UKG) - 8:00 am- 12:00pm and

Grade I- VIII- 8:00am- 2:00pm

  • What is the student teacher ratio?

Small student- teacher ratio that is conducive for individualized attention.

  • What is the age criterion for Kindergarten?

Child should be 3+ years old for Pre-KG and 4+ years old for LKG by 31st of March.

  • Does the school provide meals to the students?

No, the school does not provide any meals to the students but the school has a canteen facility.

  • How does the school facilitate for Projects/ Assignments/ External learning?

School provides the facility of e-learning to each student. Furthermore the school has a well stocked library with wide variety of books magazines, periodicals, CD- ROMs, VCDs, DVDs, LCDs, computers, printer and photocopier to facilitate better learning.

  • How is the school equipped in case of minor/major accidents during the school hours?

A full time doctor is available and only first aid will be provided by the school in case of any accidents.

  • What kind of sports facilities does the school provide?

The school provides well-equipped indoor sports facilities including a swimming pool for a variety of games. Moreover a vast ground to perform outdoor games such as football, cricket and all track and field events.

  • Which nationalities are the majorities of the teachers?

The majority of the teachers are qualified professional Indians.

  • What qualification requirements are needed to be a teacher at DUNES?

For Kindergarten and Pre primary- Nursery trained teacher (NTT) or any other relevant course that specializes in handling children of age group 3years-6 years.

For Primary and middle grades (I- VIII) - Graduate plus Bachelor of education (B.Ed.)

For secondary grades (IX-XII) - Post graduate plus Bachelor of education (B.Ed.)

  • How is Teaching/ Learning process different at DUNES?

Every classroom is technology enhanced classroom (smart classroom) that promotes teaching and learning by integrating learning technology such as computers with internet connectivity, projectors, smart boards and audio/visual capabilities.

The TeachNext solution is not just designed to be simple to use in a classroom with the remote control, but also have advanced interactive tools and other virtual activities to ensure that the teacher is able to explain and illustrate the concepts using life-like animations and engrossing voice-overs.

  • Are there any third language being offered in the school?

Yes, the school provides third language options from grade IV onwards. The following are the options available:

Arabic; Urdu; French; Kannada; Malayalam; Tamil and Marathi

  • Can parents visit the school?

Yes, parents can visit DUNES to get the real experience during the school hours. Parents can visit the school premises, interact with admission in-charge, obtain the required information about the school, and see the classes.

  • Does school provides transport facility?

Transport facility is optional and provided to the students who are within a distance of 30 km from the School.

  • What are the school term and holidays?
