SCHEME OF EXAMINATION & EVALUATION
Kindergarten section (Pre KG- UKG)
Students of Pre-KG, LKG & UKG will be assessed on their day to day performance. No formal examination or test will be conducted for them.

Primary and Upper Primary (Grades I and II)
Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation is exercised in lower primary classes to shift the focus of academic activities towards enrichment of the total personality of the learners and to facilitate the learners to address to various facets of learning.
Students will be evaluated giving emphasis on assessing their competency /skills in step by step evaluation; Evaluation1 (30%), Evaluation 2 (30%), Evaluation 3 (40%).
Students will be assessed on the basis of the weekly tests also.
Monthly Tests will be conducted as a part of the evaluation. Test papers/note books will be returned to students within five days. Parents are requested to sign the test papers and maintain effective communication with the school.Besides doing away with the concept of pass/ fail system up to class V, the assessment focuses on the positive aspects of the child’s development during this stage. Accordingly, Achievement Records for the upper primary classes are developed with the objective of facilitating holistic learning.
Middle Section, Grade (III – IX)
The academic year will be divided into two terms. The First Term will be from April to October, the Second Term from November to March of the subsequent year. Assessment will be indicated in Grades.

PS: The CBSE Board will be conducting the final examination of 80 Marks in each subject. 10% of the whole year assessment in each subject will be considered by the board for the internal assessment. 5% of the evaluation will be for the projects/ lab practical’s and remaining 5% will be from classwork and homework.
PROMOTION
- Promotion of the pupil is granted on the basis of the whole year’s performance; hence the regularity in attendance and work is essential.
- A detailed report of students studying in lower primary and upper primary section will be given by the home room teacher during Parent – Teacher Interaction.
- The following rules as directed by the CBSE will be strictly followed in all the classes.

40 % aggregate marks should be obtained by the pupil to be promoted to the next grade.
4. Promotion Policy in Grade IX – X
The guidelines given by the CBSE will be strictly followed. Two languages, Mathematics, Science & Social Science will be considered at par for the promotion purpose.
Consistent neglect of the academic work will be condoned. In view of the system of periodic tests and the year’s average in determining eligibility for promotion, it will not be possible to hold makeup exams.
A student must secure overall 40% marks to seek promotion to the next class. It is mandatory to score minimum 35% marks (exclusively in theory) in each subject to be promoted to the next class, i.e. Grade X.
